New York State's highest peak located in the Adirondack Mountains at 5,344ft. was featured in the latest edition of Backpacker magazine. Mt. Marcy is the apex of the 46 High Peaks, located in the heart of the Adirondack Park. Famous for it's stunning 360 degree vistas at the summit, Marcy is popular with hikers from around the country looking for a great hike from multiple approaches around the base. Summer or winter, Marcy can be scaled in less than a day, proving to be one of the most exciting climbs in the east. Backpacker magazine has a nationwide circulation of 333,815 people, so the word is out. Thanks Backpacker!
