Lake Champlain Region’s Official Web Site Re-Launches with a New Look

CROWN POINT, N.Y. --- The Lake Champlain region’s official web site, www.lakechamplainregion.com, has re-launched with a new design, aimed at promoting the region’s 400 year history and its Quadricentennial celebration.

The site also showcases a new video highlighting the “New York’s Adirondack Coast” and its 121 miles of shoreline as well as activities including boating, hiking and sailing. The aerial video also features the area’s architecture, entertainment dinning, shopping and outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and golf.

The site also makes it simple for visitors to plan their vacations in the region with an easy to find events calendar, trip planner and activities guide. “We’re excited about including video on the site – it gives us a fresh option to showcase the scenic beauty and all there is to see and do in the region,” said Lake Placid/Essex County Visitor Bureau’s executive vice-president Carol Joannette. “There’s a lot. It was hard to keep it within the three minute limit.”

This year the region is celebrating the 400th anniversary of the arrival of French explorer Samuel de Champlain on Lake Champlain. The towns and villages lining Lake Champlain will soon be flying the ExploreNY 400 flag as designated Quadricentennial communities. Visit www.lakechamplainregion.com for a complete listing of all the events and activities.
