
Earlier today Ted Blazer, President and CEO for ORDA; Claire DelNegro, a Vice President of the FIL (International Luge Federation); Robert Storey, President of the FIBT (Federation Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing); Jaime Rogers, Mayor of Lake Placid; and Robert Politi, Supervisor for the Town of North Elba announced that Lake Placid will host 2 World Championship events at the Olympic Sports Complex in February of 2009.
Eeach speaker expressed their joy in having Lake Placid host the last major competition before the Olymics in 2010.
Also in attendance were leaders and athletes representing the United States Luge Association and the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation.
