LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- The holiday season is quickly approaching, are you ready? The Lake Placid/Essex County Visitors Bureau is sponsoring the annual “Adirondack Holiday” themed decorating contest for local residents and businesses.
Decorating contest categories include retail/commercial business, window display, restaurant, lodging property, residential, children’s delight, best of show, standard of excellence, and continued excellence. Everyone participating in the decorating contest is encouraged to decorate and light their properties by Tuesday, Dec. 2, by 4 p.m. and committee members will view the homes and businesses on Tuesday and the following Wednesday and Thursday.
All residents and businesses are invited to enter the contest. This year the judging routes will include homes and businesses starting from the North Elba Show grounds, on Route 73, to Main St., and Saranac Ave., to the Price Chopper Plaza. If you are not in the immediate judging area and would like to be included on the on the judges’ driving routes, please contact Margaret Marchuk at the Visitors Bureau at 523-2445 ex. 189 or margaret@lakeplacid.com to confirm your participation.
